FAA Requirements for Your Commercial Pilot Certificate
To qualify for a single-engine commercial rating, you’ll need to log a minimum of 250 hours of flight time. Our program is structured to meet and exceed FAA standards:

| Powered Aircraft | 100 hours (50 in airplanes) |
| Pilot-in-Command Time | 100 hours (50 in airplanes) |
| Cross-Country Flight Time | 50 hours (10 in airplanes) |
| Dual Training | 20 hours (includes 10 hours instrument + 10 hours complex or TAA) |
| Solo Training | 10 hours (includes cross-country and night flying) |
What You’ll Need to Complete
To earn your Commercial Pilot License, you must:
- Pass the FAA Knowledge Test (written exam)
- Pass the Practical Test (check ride with an examiner)
